AGRIFER's History
In 1966 the company “Bento Gomes Ferreira” was founded, based at the street "rua do Caires" in Maximinos, Braga. Its main activity at that time was the maintenace of tractors, agricultural equipment and in some cases soil moving machinery.
Years later, motivated by its will to grow as a business man, Bento Ferreira understanded its natural capability in this area, natural, coming from a generation of traders. At that moment he began dealing with parts, accessories and agricultural equipment. Bento Gomes Ferreira, in 68, began selling brand new agricultural tractors, witch had a big increase in the company's business activity at that time, assuming the representation of the german tractors brand “Eicher” and italian power-growers “Alfa” in the Minho region.
In 1973 the company “Bento Gomes Ferreira” was considered the best agent in the country by the brands it represented, having sold several hundreds of those equipments. Three years later the company social denomination was altered to AGRIFER, name that still prevails with very much sucess.
As years went by, AGRIFER gained new representations and new equipments. Later on, the company's business activity evolved, directed to soil moving and compacting machinery, mobile energy, cargo loaders and storekeeping.
Currently, there are several certified company who have been trusting AGRIFER has its main industrial equipment supplier.
